Program Overview

Objectives:

  • Promote harmonious, productive, and compliant workplaces by fostering sustainable partnerships among workplace participants and cooperative engagement with the Fair Work Ombudsman (FWO).
  • Support the initial development of innovative multi-stakeholder mechanisms to create systemic, long-lasting workplace improvements.
  • Facilitate assistance provision to workers and employers under the federal workplace relations system.

Target Beneficiaries:

  • Groups of organisations collaborating on projects that address workplace issues and promote compliance.
  • Eligible lead organisations must be Australian legal entities such as registered charities, non-charitable not-for-profits, industrial associations, or peak councils.
  • Organisations must have an Australian Business Number (ABN), be GST registered (unless exempt), located in Australia, and able to enter legally binding agreements.

Key Features:

  • Total funding pool of AUD 7.2 million for projects conducted between 1 July 2025 and 30 June 2029.
  • Projects must embed cooperative practices to monitor and prevent non-compliance with Commonwealth workplace laws.
  • Aim to build capacity for multi-stakeholder mechanisms to deliver meaningful, long-term workplace improvements.
  • Focus on preventing non-compliance, creating systemic change, and addressing root causes of workplace issues.

Application Process:

  • Applications must be submitted by a lead organisation on behalf of a group of collaborating organisations.
  • Applicants must complete the application form, provide all requested information, address eligibility and assessment criteria, and include necessary attachments.
  • Applications are submitted via GrantConnect by the closing date (11 August 2025, 4:00 pm ACT time).
