Connected Beginnings Program

Objective:

The Connected Beginnings Program aims to support the integration of early childhood, maternal and child health, and family support services with schools in selected First Nations communities. The goal is to ensure children in these communities are well prepared for school, enhancing their educational outcomes and long-term wellbeing.

Target Beneficiaries:

The program specifically targets First Nations communities across Australia, including regions in ACT, NSW, VIC, SA, WA, QLD, NT, and TAS. It focuses on children in these communities who will benefit from coordinated early childhood and family support services linked with schooling.

Application Process:

• The program operates on an invitation-only basis; only organizations or entities invited by the Department of Education are eligible to apply.
• The selection process is closed and non-competitive, meaning applications are not open to the general public and are assessed based on invitation criteria.

Key Features:

• The funding supports a collaborative approach integrating multiple service sectors: early childhood education, maternal and child health, family support, and schools.
• The program is designed to run for approximately three years from commencement, allowing sustained support and development.
