Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Seventh Assessment Cycle Experts

This funding program runs from 2023-24 to 2029-30, with a total budget of AUD 4 million. It supports research institutions, State and Territory government departments, and individuals in Australia to participate in the IPCC Seventh Assessment Cycle processes.

Objectives:

• Support the delivery of IPCC work, including assessment reports, to inform Australia's climate change policy and international treaty obligations.
• Engage Australian experts in climate science, adaptation, mitigation, and greenhouse gas inventory methodologies to share expertise internationally through IPCC meetings and report preparation.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Invited individuals.
• Universities, corporate Commonwealth entities, publicly funded research organisations, and State or Territory government departments applying on behalf of invited individuals.
