Program Overview

The program aims to support Assigned-Product Support Providers (A-PSPs) in developing and implementing their approved Depot Maintenance Activation Plan (DMAP). The program's objective is to enable these providers to become Qualified F-35 Component Depot Sources of Repair (DSOR) for maintenance and repair of components used in the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF).

Key features and objectives:

  • Support A-PSPs in developing and executing DMAPs.
  • Facilitate qualification as a DSOR for F-35 component maintenance and repair.
  • Enhance Australia's industrial capability in sustaining the JSF program.

Target beneficiaries:

  • Entities incorporated in Australia or incorporated trustees on behalf of a trust.
  • Must be A-PSPs with an Australian Business Number (ABN) and registered for GST.
  • Must provide a congressional letter from the U.S. Department of Defense awarding part number assignment or repair technology group.
  • Must demonstrate project support from their board or CEO and financial capacity to cover project costs not funded by the grant.

Application process:

  • Applications are submitted via the official website: www.business.gov.au/JSFISP.
  • Applicants must provide supporting documentation including congressional letters, board/CEO support evidence, and an accountant declaration confirming financial capacity.
  • The grant is demand-driven and open until June 30, 2028.

Funding details:

  • Total funding pool: AUD 60 million.
  • Individual grants range from AUD 50,000 to AUD 250,000.

The program is administered by the Department of Defence and aims to strengthen Australia's role in the global JSF sustainment industry by supporting local businesses in achieving depot maintenance capabilities for the F-35 aircraft. Contact and support are available via phone (13 28 46) and email enquiries@industry.gov.au.
