Objectives:

  • Support medical research and innovation projects that reduce cardiovascular disease and stroke incidence.
  • Develop and implement early, effective preventive health interventions.
  • Co-design culturally secure prevention strategies with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
  • Conduct Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials for novel devices and therapies.
  • Undertake large-scale multiomics research to improve understanding of recovery and survivorship in cardiovascular disease and stroke.
