Objectives:
- Develop consumer-informed approaches to generate and incorporate patient/consumer data across the health technology assessment lifecycle for medicines, vaccines, and medical devices.
- Create scalable, sustainable methods to evaluate long-term effectiveness of specialized therapies, emerging medicines, and medicine-related health technologies, including patient-reported outcomes.
- Develop approaches to incorporate patient-reported outcomes in assessing long-term safety, efficacy, material safety, and biocompatibility of implantable devices.
Target Beneficiaries:
- Approved MRFF Eligible Organisations in Australia.
- Researchers proposing projects aligned with one of the four specified research streams.
Research Streams (Applicants must choose one):
- Consumer-informed approaches for medicines or vaccines.
- Consumer-informed approaches for medical devices.
- Scalable evaluation of long-term effectiveness of specialized therapies and emerging medicines.
- Incorporation of patient-reported outcomes in safety and efficacy assessment of implantable devices.
