HYPE: Marketing Assistance Grant

Objective:

• To support emerging Canadian performing artists in presenting new works.
• To provide marketing services that raise the profile and awareness of the recipient’s new artistic work.
• To prepare artists for ongoing success through training, mentorship, and marketing resources.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Emerging Canadian artists across all performing artistic disciplines.
• Performing arts organizations in Canada that have been operating for no more than three years.
• Artists or organizations presenting a new work.

Key Features:

• Annual grant program by Murray Paterson Marketing Group (MPMG).
• Provides $12,000 worth of marketing and consulting services.
• Services include Media Relations, Digital Marketing, and Consulting support.
• Includes training and mentorship to help artists develop marketing skills for future projects.
• Focus on building long-term capacity for marketing and audience engagement.
• The grant supports the presentation of new works scheduled between February and July of the grant year.

Application Process:

• Applications open annually; for example, 2026 applications opened on June 10, 2025.
• The recipient is announced in November of the application year.
