Program Overview

This program is designed to financially support organizations that engage young Canadians in science and engineering, including mathematics and technology. The program aims to promote understanding and enthusiasm for these fields through hands-on learning experiences.

Objectives:

Key Features:

  • Funding available for up to three years per application.
  • Grants cover program improvements, new activities, and operational costs such as salaries (excluding the applicant’s salary), travel, postage, materials, and supplies.
  • Research activities are not eligible for funding.
  • Applications undergo peer review by a committee of experts from science promotion and education communities.
  • Recipients must submit progress and final reports as part of grant conditions.

Application Process:

  • Applicants submit proposals through NSERC’s online system.
  • Proposals are peer-reviewed for scientific and educational merit.
  • Successful applications are screened for compliance with NSERC policies.
