E TRADE Programme 2.0

is an enhanced initiative by Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) aimed at accelerating export activities through sustained participation in cross-border eCommerce platforms. It builds on the original eTRADE Programme developed under RMK-11.

Objectives:

• Provide financial incentives to companies to sustain their presence on cross-border eCommerce platforms.
• Assist Malaysian SMEs in establishing and maintaining a sustainable and valuable presence on these platforms.
• Support companies in maintaining their online business through digital marketing, eCommerce training, and online export promotions to increase exposure and business opportunities.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Malaysian companies, particularly SMEs, that are new to or already engaged in cross-border eCommerce platforms.

Key Features and Financial Incentives:

• Onboarding Scheme: RM5,000 per company for onboarding onto one or multiple cross-border eCommerce platforms.
• Digital Marketing & Training (DMT) Scheme: RM20,000 per company for digital marketing activities and/or attending eCommerce training programs.
• Incentives are provided for one-year subscription or activities.
• Reimbursements are subject to government fund availability.

Application Process:

• Applicants must meet eligibility criteria outlined by MATRADE.
• Application and claim procedures are detailed in the programme guidelines.
• The programme system is integrated with the MADANI Digital Platform, with operations resuming on 19th March 2025 after maintenance.
• Interested companies can download the eTRADE 2.0 guidelines and apply through MATRADE’s online services.

This programme aims to enhance Malaysia’s export competitiveness by leveraging digital trade channels and supporting SMEs in the digital economy.
