Program Overview

The Japan Foundation, Manila Arts & Culture Grant 2025 (JFMAC Grant) is a funding program designed to promote and deepen mutual understanding of Japan and its culture through support for cultural exchange activities between the Philippines and Japan.

Objectives:

  • To promote, introduce, and deepen understanding of Japan, its language, and culture.
  • To support projects that encourage multilateral cultural exchange between the Philippines and Japan.
  • To enhance Japanese Studies through conferences, seminars, and workshops.
  • To facilitate global partnerships and collaboration on issues such as sustainable development, climate change, peace-building, maritime, and economic cooperation.

Target Beneficiaries:

  • Individuals and organizations in the Philippines engaged in cultural exchange or Japanese studies.
  • Applicants planning international and cultural exchange projects involving Japan.

Key Features:

  • Supports cultural events, academic conferences, seminars, workshops, and collaborative projects.
  • Encourages dialogue on multifaceted global issues through partnerships.
  • Grants cover project costs as outlined in the guidelines.
  • Projects must be implemented by December 31, 2025.

Application Process:

  1. Read and understand the JFMAC Grant 2025 guidelines, which include eligibility, project types, grant coverage, obligations, and deadlines.
  2. Download and complete the JFMAC Grant 2025 Application Form, including:
    • Detailed project proposal (with past project reports if applicable).
    • Information about the applicant organization.
    • Profile or biography of Japanese guest/collaborator.
    • Proof of communication or agreement with the Japanese collaborator.
    • Budget proposal with quotations.
  3. Submit the complete application and supporting documents via email to jfm_grants@jpf.go.jp between April 10 and October 31, 2025. Applications must be submitted at least two months before the project start date.
  4. Applications are screened by the JFM Screening Board, and results are communicated via email.
