Application Process:

• Taiwanese applicants must follow the standard MOST guidelines for grant applications based on expenditure or cost basis.
• Proposals are submitted jointly by Taiwanese and German partners.
• The application includes a detailed project plan, budget, and collaboration framework.
• Projects are reviewed and selected based on scientific merit and potential for impactful cooperation.

Key Features:

• Funded projects are categorized as international cooperation projects and do not count against the quota of general research projects.
• Project duration is limited to a maximum of three years.
• The program supports a wide range of scientific disciplines.
• Emphasis on fostering sustainable research partnerships and knowledge exchange.
• Funding covers research expenses in Taiwan, while German partners apply through BMBF.
