Target Beneficiaries:
- Groups of researchers and creative professionals from diverse backgrounds including arts, health, and academia.
- Groups must be able to work as a collaborative residency at The Hub, a transdisciplinary research center at Wellcome Collection in London.
- Groups typically consist of 4 to 10 members with a strong track record in their expertise.
- One member leads the project, dedicating at least half their time to it.
Key Features:
- Funding up to £1 million for a duration of 1 to 2 years, with flexible funding amounts justified by the project.
- Access to a specially designed flexible space at Wellcome Collection including quiet areas, meeting rooms, seminar rooms, and a recording studio.
- Funding covers salaries for group members and collaborators, consultancy fees for artists and performers, project expenses (equipment, materials, events, public engagement), and overheads under specific conditions.
- Support for travel to conferences and meetings, including caring responsibilities costs.
- Up to 5% contingency funding allowed.
- Opportunity to contribute to Wellcome Collection’s public events and collaborate with Wellcome teams.
- Research Enrichment funding available for open research and diversity and inclusion activities.
- Not intended for developing exhibitions for display at Wellcome Collection.
