Objectives:
- To finance small projects that enhance disaster risk management, climate change adaptation, environmental management, and capacity building in local communities.
- Support initiatives that reduce community vulnerability and increase resilience to natural hazards and climate change.
- Promote sustainable development through training, workshops, community consultations, and expert meetings.
Target Beneficiaries:
- Registered non-governmental organizations (NGOs), community-based organizations (CBOs), charity organizations, and universities operating within CCRIF member countries and CARICOM member countries.
- National disaster coordinating bodies in local communities.
- Government departments or agencies funded directly from state budgets are not eligible.
Funding Range:
Projects funded range from US$5,000 to US$25,000.
Application Process:
- Proposals must be submitted electronically via the CCRIF Small Grants online platform on the official CCRIF website.
- Applicants must first register their organization by creating an account with a username and password.
- Complete the organization profile with all required information.
- Submit a detailed project proposal through the online system.
- Proposals can be submitted at any time during the year and are evaluated quarterly.
- All proposals and correspondence must be in English.

- Projects must align with CCRIF’s regional mandate and agenda.
- Eligible projects include disaster risk management, engineering, climate change adaptation, training/capacity building, and environmental management initiatives like watershed management.
