Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) (Hong Kong Programme)

is a funding initiative designed to support innovation and early-stage development of start-ups in Hong Kong, particularly those with digital technology projects and business elements. The program offers a grant of up to HK$100,000 along with comprehensive nurturing support to help high-potential projects progress from idea or prototype stages to market readiness.

Objectives:

• To foster innovation and entrepreneurship in Hong Kong’s digital tech sector.
• To support early-stage start-ups and projects with business potential.
• To provide financial aid and all-round nurturing including mentorship, training, and business advice.
• To enhance the chances of start-ups progressing to Cyberport’s Incubation Programme.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Individual applicants aged 18 or above holding a Hong Kong ID card.
• Limited companies registered and incorporated in Hong Kong.
• Projects at idea stage or early development with a minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype.

Application Process:

• Online application submission through Cyberport’s Entrepreneurship Management System.
• Initial screening for eligibility.
• Evaluation by an independent vetting team based on project management, business model, creativity, and social responsibility.
• Shortlisted applicants present their projects in a vetting session.
• Successful applicants receive grant disbursement in three stages upon project milestones and report submissions.

Key Features:

• Up to HK$100,000 cash grant disbursed in three installments (HK$10,000 on agreement signing, HK$45,000 after interim report approval, HK$45,000 upon project completion).
• Access to Cyberport’s extensive resources including training, mentorship, business development, investment connections, and global networks.
• Publicity, promotion, and industry recognition.
• Support from a vetting team comprising leaders from finance, academia, and industry.
• Projects must be implemented within six months.
• Preference for projects with social responsibility elements such as open-source software or ethical contributions.
