This programme is a funding and support initiative aimed at young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 30 from Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong who are passionate about innovation and eager to start their entrepreneurial journey in the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Objectives:
- Empower young talent to develop entrepreneurial skills and innovative digital tech ideas.
- Foster cross-city collaboration among young entrepreneurs in the GBA.
- Support early-stage start-ups with financial aid and mentoring to transform ideas into viable businesses.
- Enhance participants' understanding of the GBA’s dynamic business and innovation & technology landscape.
Target Beneficiaries:
- Individuals aged 18-30, currently enrolled in or graduated within three years from post-secondary institutions in Hong Kong, Macau, or Guangdong.
- Cross-region teams formed by participants from Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangdong, with at least two principal applicants including one Hong Kong ID holder and one from Macau or Guangdong.
- Early-stage start-ups or projects with minimum viable product (MVP) or prototype in digital technology.
Application Process:
- Stage 1: Individual application with required documents submitted online by the deadline. Shortlisted applicants join an entrepreneurship bootcamp.
- Stage 2: Formation of cross-region teams during or after the bootcamp. Teams submit a joint CCMF application detailing their project.
- At least 50% of team members must be Hong Kong ID holders.
- The programme is conducted in Mandarin.
Key Features:
- Entrepreneurship bootcamp with training, industry insights, tech company visits, and networking.
- Each admitted team receives HK$100,000 in cash funding from CCMF, disbursed in three stages.
- Six months of mentoring and comprehensive support from Cyberport and co-organisers.
- Co-organisers include Hong Kong Information Technology Joint Council, PKU-HKUST Shenzhen-Hong Kong Institution, Shenzhen-Hong Kong Union for Promoting Science and Technology, Guangdong Software Industry Association, Macao Young Entrepreneur Incubation Centre, and The Association for Promotion of Science and Technology of Macau.
- Successful completion may increase chances of acceptance into Cyberport Incubation Programme.
- No application or training fees; transportation, accommodation, and meals provided during bootcamp.
- Strict confidentiality of ideas is maintained.
This programme offers a structured pathway for young entrepreneurs in the GBA to develop, fund, and scale their digital tech start-ups with strong regional collaboration and support.
