Program Overview

Cyberport Incubation Programme (CIP) is a flagship entrepreneurship initiative in Hong Kong designed to empower innovative talent and start-ups in the digital technology sector. The programme aims to fast-track the growth of start-ups by providing comprehensive support from ideation to market success over a 24-month period. Objectives: - Support start-ups in transforming promising digital tech solutions into market-ready products. - Help establish thriving companies, secure strategic investments, and forge valuable business partnerships. - Facilitate expansion within Hong Kong and internationally. Target Beneficiaries: - Digital tech companies incorporated or in the process of incorporation in Hong Kong, less than 7 years old. - Start-ups with a viable business plan and product/solution ready for market within 12-18 months. - Founders holding at least 51% of company shares or having absolute control. - Incubatees must maintain a local presence with at least one authorized representative physically working in Hong Kong. Application Process: - Applications are accepted year-round via the Cyberport Entrepreneurship Management System. - Selection involves a three-stage vetting process: initial screening, evaluation by an independent vetting team, and a presentation session. - Results are announced by email. - Interested applicants can join online information sessions for more details. Key Features and Benefits: - Up to HK$500,000 financial assistance and HK$200,000 on-site rental subsidy. - Rent-free workspace and free access to Cyberport’s shared facilities for on-site incubatees. - Extensive technical and business support including mentorship, training, and guidance tailored to different start-up stages. - Access to Cyberport’s extensive networks of entrepreneurs, investors, technology partners, and professional service providers. - Opportunities for business matching, exhibitions, industry awards nominations, overseas trade shows, and recruitment events. - Upon graduation, incubatees must demonstrate minimum eligible expenses of HK$400,000 during the incubation period. The programme has a strong track record with over 1600 awards won by incubatees and more than 530 intellectual property rights created. Notable alumni include Snapask, GOGOX, Klook, and others, highlighting its impact on the innovation ecosystem in Hong Kong.
