Incentive Scheme for Recurrent Exhibitions

Objectives:

• To support and promote the hosting of international exhibitions in Hong Kong.
• To enhance Hong Kong’s position as a leading international trade and exhibition hub.
• To attract high-spending overnight business visitors, boosting local tourism, retail, catering, and entertainment sectors.
• To encourage recurrent exhibitions that contribute to sustained economic development.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Organisers of eligible international exhibitions held at key venues in Hong Kong, including:
  • Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)
  • AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE)
  • Central Harbourfront Event Space
  • Relevant parts of the West Kowloon Cultural District

Key Features:

• For events starting on or after 1 July 2025 (Incentive Scheme 2.0):
  • Incentive equivalent to 100% of the venue rental.
  • Cap of HKD 10 million per exhibition.
• For events started between 1 July 2023 and 30 June 2025:
  • Incentive equivalent to 100% of venue rental for international exhibitions.
  • Incentive equivalent to 50% of venue rental for other eligible exhibitions.
  • Cap of HKD 20 million per exhibition.
• The scheme supports recurrent exhibitions, emphasizing repeated events to build long-term industry impact.

Application Process:

• Organisers must apply through the official application forms and guidelines provided by the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau.
• Detailed application guides and forms are available on the official website.
• Applications are subject to eligibility criteria and approval by the government.
