Cyberport Creative Micro Fund (CCMF) Cyberport University Partnership Programme (CUPP) is a digital technology-focused entrepreneurship initiative in Hong Kong designed to nurture young digital tech talents through ideation, incubation, acceleration, and market success. Established in 2015, CUPP offers a life-changing experience for university students and recent graduates to unleash their potential and gain insights into the global market. Objectives: - To nurture young digital tech talents in Hong Kong. - To provide participants with entrepreneurial skills and industry insights. - To facilitate exposure to global markets through overseas boot camps. - To support innovative digital tech projects with funding and mentorship. Target Beneficiaries: - Undergraduate or postgraduate students aged 18 to 30 from CUPP co-organising universities. - Students or graduates nominated by their universities. - Teams with projects rooted in digital technology. - Teams of up to 5 members, including a team leader with a Hong Kong ID card and core members with technical/UIUX knowledge. Key Features: - Pre-camp nurturing sessions in digital tech held in Hong Kong. - Overseas Entrepreneurship Boot Camp at prestigious universities focusing on entrepreneurship with lectures, case studies, group work, guest speakers, and mentoring. - Mentorship from local and international industry experts. - Pitching innovative digital tech business ideas to investors. - Winning teams receive a HK$100,000 grant from CCMF, disbursed in three stages based on milestones. Application Process: - Nomination-based application through CUPP co-organising universities. - Applicants submit academic performance, awards, entrepreneurial experience, and project proposals to university representatives. - Selected teams undergo written tests and interviews conducted by Cyberport. - Successful applicants pay a non-refundable HK$1,000 admission fee and a refundable deposit (HK$6,000 for boot camp participants, HK$3,000 for non-participants). - Networking sessions are arranged for team formation or expansion. The programme themes for the upcoming cohort include AI, Blockchain, Cybersecurity, and Data Science, aiming to equip participants with cutting-edge digital technology and entrepreneurial skills for future success.
