Public Sector Trial Scheme for Incubatees & Graduate Tenants of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation and Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited (PSTS-SPC): Objectives: - Launched in December 2016 to provide funding support for production of prototypes/samples and conducting trials in the public sector. - Aims to facilitate the development of new products not already available in the market. - Supports R&D outcomes developed by incubatees and graduate tenants of HKSTPC and Cyberport aligned with their business plans. Target Beneficiaries: - Current incubatees or graduate tenants of Hong Kong Science & Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTPC) or Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company Limited. - Applicants must have developed the R&D outcomes for trial themselves. Key Features: - Maximum funding support: HKD 1 million per trial project. - Maximum project duration: 12 months. - Trials and deployment of prototypes/samples are generally confined to the local public sector, including government bureaux, departments, statutory bodies, and government-subvented NGOs in the welfare sector. - Funding covers costs exclusively for prototype/sample production and conducting trials; internal administrative charges and overheads (except insurance) are not allowed. - Trials outside Hong Kong require justification and approval. Application Process: - Applications accepted year-round. - Applicants must read the Guide to Filling in the Application Form before applying. - Preliminary vetting by HKSTPC and Cyberport for eligibility and project details. - Recommended applications are processed by the Innovation and Technology Commission (ITC). - ITC may request clarifications or supplementary information. - Final approval of funding by the Commissioner for Innovation and Technology. - Helpdesk available to assist applicants in matching with suitable public sector bodies for trials.
