Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Loan Fund

Objectives:

• Provide financial aid to individual farmers, pond fish operators, and mariculturists.
• Support development and working capital needs in agriculture and related sectors.

Target Beneficiaries:

Key Features:

• Initial capital of HK$500,000, jointly donated by the Government and the Kadoorie brothers.
• Subsequent government donations increased the fund to HK$2,750,000.
• The fund is managed by the Director of Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation as Trustee and administered by the Kadoorie Agricultural Aid Loan Fund Committee.
• Loans are granted for both development projects and working capital.
• In 2024-25, 19 loans totaling HK$2,950,000 were issued.

Application Process:

• Applications are handled by the Agricultural Extension Office of the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department.
