HKSTP IDEATION

HKSTP IDEATION Programme is a year-long startup support initiative designed to help tech-focused entrepreneurs in Hong Kong turn their innovative ideas into viable businesses.

Objectives:

• Equip participants with fundamental entrepreneurial skills.
• Provide comprehensive support from business model design to investment sourcing.
• Guide startups through technical development and business refinement.
• Facilitate mentorship and networking opportunities to foster growth.

Target Beneficiaries:

• Individual applicants aged 18 or above holding an HKID.
• Companies incorporated in Hong Kong for less than 2 years at application start.
• Teams intending to incorporate a Hong Kong limited company within two weeks of admission.

Application Process:

• Applications open thrice yearly (January, May, September).
• Submit applications online before the deadline.
• Pre-screening by an admission panel.
• Shortlisted applicants attend a panel assessment and due diligence meeting.
• Results announced approximately three months after application deadline.

• Up to HKD 100,000 seed funding disbursed in three tranches based on milestone achievements.
• Access to co-working space subject to availability.
• Comprehensive training covering market validation, business modeling, pitching, and more.
• Dedicated account managers for coaching and support.

• Nomination support for HKSTP Incubation Programme for further development.
• No requirement to quit job or school; part-time participation allowed.
• Emphasis on team competency, business potential, innovativeness, and R&D in assessment.
